“On a day of so much global uncertainty,” ACN’s Jenna Clark said, nearing the end of another hourly bulletin from a surprisingly quiet Birchwood, “I think we all expected some information about Dan and Tara’s whereabouts, if not those of the occasionally less candid Chairman Godfrey, but that hasn’t turned out to be the case.”

Either side of Jenna, where countless other reporters had been jam-packed at the edge of the lot for most of the day to be rewarded with nothing more than the comings and goings of a handful of New Kergrillin’ Bar & Grill’s weekday regulars, a good number of spaces were now visible.

“We’ll be back here live tomorrow morning,” she went on, accepting defeat for the night, “when we fully expect to have some major updates. For ACN, I’m Jenna Clark.”
